The Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) has formalised a strategic partnership with UEM Edgenta Academy through the signing of a Memorandum of Business Exploration (MOBE) on 17 November 2025.
Held at APU’s flagship campus in Technology Park Malaysia, this collaboration sets the stage for impactful initiatives in training, research, industry engagement, and regulatory development, aimed at cultivating highly skilled talents to support Malaysia’s infrastructure and economic aspirations.
UEM Edgenta Academy is the primary learning arm of UEM Edgenta, a regional leader in Asset Management and Infrastructure Solutions and a subsidiary of the UEM Group. Listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia (KLSE: EDGENTA), UEM Edgenta brings a wealth of expertise encompassing Healthcare Support, Property & Facility Solutions, and Infrastructure Services for Expressways and Rail, complemented by project management and engineering design via its Opus Consultants business.
Strengthening Industry-Academia Synergy
The MOBE was signed by Mr Razman Ismail, Director of Edgenta Academy Sdn Bhd and Chief People Officer of UEM Edgenta, and Mr Gurpardeep Singh, Chief Operating Officer of APU, with Ms Nuraida Ismail, Head of Edgenta Academy, and Professor Ts Dr Murali Raman, APU Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic Development & Strategy), serving as official witnesses.
This milestone event was further strengthened by the presence of senior representatives from both organisations, reaffirming a united vision of advancing Malaysia’s talent development ecosystem.
This collaboration will explore strategic areas such as joint training programmes, professional certification courses, and knowledge-sharing sessions between industry experts and APU’s academic community. It will further pave the way for collaborative research in engineering and technology, as well as internship and industrial placement opportunities for APU students within UEM Edgenta’s dynamic operational environment.
